Intro: You're listening to Local Market Monopoly with Clarence Fisher, uncovering the tools tactics, and strategies. The most successful small businesses use in their local market and own the block.

Clarence Fisher: Okay. Hey, it is Halloween. At least it's October is the beginning of fall, I guess, for like a couple of weeks. This is the, my favorite holiday, favorite hallow, whatever I was going to say, but the favorite season of the year for my wife and I love it, the weather gets cooler. It's dark outside when I wake up. It's an awesome thing. But what else is awesome making money through this season? I mean these three months, this quarter that's coming up is like the quarter when a lot of businesses make the most of their money and it all starts with holla wing. Now, this is going to be a really quick episode. Okay? Because there are only a few things that you need to do. Of course, you can embellish. And if you do, here's, Hey, here's a new thing that we've got going on that you can take.

Clarence Fisher: Part of it is it is Clarencefisher.com/ask call Clarence. This is what I imagine. I imagine like a team of marketing, the marketing team and sales team is sitting in a boardroom and they are stumped by a problem. And I, the CEO or the marketing record say call Clarence, right? So that's what you can do. Just go to Clarence fisher.com/ask, and you have the ability there to leave me a voice message of whatever question you have. And I'm going to answer it right ear on the show. Okay, go ahead and try that out. Whatever you want to know. Okay. Back to what we're talking about, Halloween, and the few things I've got for you today. Again, it's going to be a quick episode. So number one is to look at your website, look at your social media, all that you have your emails, and make that theme of Halloween.

Clarence Fisher: Use the Halloween colors. Okay? I know you have colors for your business and all that stuff, but the most recognizable is that is orange and black and some yellow for Halloween because that is like when people see it, they instantly think Halloween. And if it has your name on it, your business name on it, and maybe your logos next to it, then they pair you with what's going on. So that's number one. Look at your website. Look at your social media. How can we Halloween this up? Like my neighbor down the street. When we first moved here, I was like, thought he was crazy, but he just really gets happy in. He gets happy. He really gets into the holidays. I wouldn't have to check the mail the other day. There's a three-foot jacket liner now over there. And I know his garage is going to be a haunted house for the kids in the neighborhood.

Clarence Fisher: It's just what he does. So Halloween it up now. Number two, a simple thing to have is a photo contest. People aren't going to be having Halloween costume contest at their business maybe. If you're not on lockdown and they're at their business, but maybe people are dressing up on Zoom. I don't know, but you can still have a costume contest, and then allow the people who follow you to vote on the best costume. And then give them, give the winner, you know, or a product or maybe a service. Maybe some service, but a, a costume contest, a photo contest, really easy to do. You can do a video too. But the one thing that you want to do, whether you're doing, whether you're doing a photo or you're doing video, is I want to use hashtags. You want to have a hashtag for your event.

Clarence Fisher: That way, everyone uses the hashtag. People start seeing that hashtag and it blows it up. If you don't know what a hashtag is, it's pound something clever and we do the hashtag whatever, right? And then that allows someone to click it on social media. And then when they click that they're taken to, to see everybody else that's using that hashtag. So it becomes a big deal. So make sure you're using hashtags. Okay. Number three, I told you this was going to be a short one. Number three. Why do you want to do is take your client list and send them some treats, send them treats. You should actually be sending your star, your key clients, stuff like every quarter. Right? But this is definitely, you can send them cookies. You can, you, there's all kinds of stuff that you can send them.

Clarence Fisher: I don't send them a big bag of the assorted. I don't know if you really want to send them the, what do you call that? But the candy corner. That's either going to be a, I love it. Or I hate to, you know, with, uh, with the candy corner. But yeah, but send them something. So here are the three things for Halloween. Number one, Halloween it up. Okay. Make it the Halloween theme. Number two, you can have a photo contest. I think there's another thing too, is if you have a product or service that kind of lends itself to Halloween if you were an eCommerce business, you could maybe have Halloween items. If you're a service business, you could have taken one of your services that you can relate to Halloween. For instance, our Halloween promotion was, is your website Spooky is your, are your conversion rates scary?

Clarence Fisher: And you can tie that in to Halloween as well. And then also take your key clients, your client list, and actually, your prospect list worked for this as well. Send them something and with a Halloween-themed message. Okay? Whatever you do though, it started right now because this is when the game begins and the holiday season kicks off. All right? So here's something that has been happening. And what I'd really love you to do is if you like the episode or any episode, go ahead and take a picture and post that on Facebook or Instagram and hashtag Local Market Monopoly or hashtag own the block. Those are going to be our hashtags. Okay. And be sure to subscribe and rate review on Apple, Stitcher, or wherever else you listen to the podcast. What else did I have today? Oh yeah. Clarence fisher.com/ask to ask any question that you have, and we'll answer it right here on the show. So go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, get started with your Halloween marketing now, and do whatever you need to do to own the block.
