Let’s Pop Those Digital Marketing Myth Bubbles!
October 18, 2023

Have you noticed how the world of digital marketing is always changing?

It feels like there's always something new to learn or adapt to.

And for the most part, there is, but there are some myths and misconceptions about digital marketing out there that can slow your progress and waste your time and hard earned money.

So today, we're going to bust some of those myths, like a bubble.

“Cause when Compton and Long Beach together, now you know you in trouble!!”

… and help you steer clear of them.

Sounds good? Good! Let's dive in!

Myth 1: “Content marketing just isn't that important”

Uhhhhhhh…. Okay. Let's start with a big one.

Some people think content marketing isn't a big deal.

But guess what? It Is!

Content marketing helps your customers understand what you offer.

It’s the story that keeps your audience interested and coming back for more.

Plus, it can help your website show up higher in search results, making it easier for new customers, clients or patients to find you.

So, content marketing isn't just important, it's essential!

Myth 2: “Digital marketing is only for larger businesses”

This one couldn't be further from the truth. Digital marketing is for everyone, whether you're a one-person show or a big corporation.

It's like a toolbox full of different tools.

You just need to pick the right ones that fit your business and budget.

And the best part?

You can track everything to see what's working and what's not.

So, no matter the size of your business, digital marketing is your friend.

Myth 3: “Receiving negative comments on social media is not good”

OK, it’s not. lol

No one likes negative comments.

But guess what?

They can be a golden opportunity for you!

When someone leaves a negative comment, it's a chance for you to show how much you care about your customers, clients, or patients.

You can turn a negative into a positive by responding positively and professionally.

Remember, your response isn’t so much for the weirdo complaining about you, (I’ve got your back). It’s for the nice future customers who read the comment.

They want to know if something goes wrong while doing business with you that you will step up and take care of the problem, and them.

Myth 4: “Digital marketing results can’t be tracked”

Huh?! This one makes me chuckle. 😉

In digital marketing, we track everything, like the Gubment!

We can see how long someone stayed on your site, what they clicked on, and even what led them to call or fill out the contact form.

It's like a superpower that lets you see exactly what your customers are doing.

Use it for good!

So, there you have it. These myths are just that – myths.

Digital marketing is a powerful tool that can help your local business grow.

If you're ready to bust more myths (like a bubble) and take your digital marketing to the next level, we can help!
